Selerity, a provider of real-time event data solutions for the financial services industry, today announced the appointment of Thomas Chyla as Vice President of Product Strategy. Chyla’s expertise will drive the development and management of new mission-critical product offerings that enhance how investment firms leverage event data.
Chyla is joining Selerity with deep knowledge of the hedge fund industry, complemented by extensive capital markets and event-driven trading expertise. He will work out of Selerity’s Jersey City, NJ, office and report directly to Ryan Terpstra, Founder and CEO of Selerity.

Before joining Selerity, Chyla worked at AllianceBernstein as a Vice President of product development in the alternative investments division. Prior to this, Chyla held various positions at Harbert Management Corporation, a multi-strategy hedge fund including, Director of Investments and Senior Analyst. He also held research positions at several firms including, Avery Partners, RD Capital and Ascent/Meredith Asset Management. Chyla has a B.A. in Biology from The University of Pennsylvania and is fluent in Polish.
