Neonet Securities AB, the independent agency broker, today announced that it has appointed Alasdair Haynes as its new non-executive Chairman. Mr. Haynes, who has been a member of the Neonet board since February 2013, replaces Peter Melbi, who is moving on to another board directorship.

Atlas ATS and The National Stock Exchange (“NSX”) today announced they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to have NSX develop and enforce rules to regulate Atlas ATS, thereby making Atlas the first fully regulated U.S. - based digital currenc y exchange. Atlas’s exchange has been operating for several months, trading digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Litecoin, as well as options on digital currencies (also known as crypto- currencies or alternate currencies). The Atlas regulatory rule set by which they will operate the exchange will be based upon rules already in use by U.S. stock and options exchanges.

Quincy Data announced that its Quincy Extreme Data service is distributing Aurora-sourced data to London’s Slough-LD4 data center in 35.39 milliseconds (ms) and to Frankfurt’s FR2 data center in 37.79 ms.  Both routes offer the lowest known latency for any commercially available service and will receive substantial upgrades over the next several months to ensure that the QED service remains the fastest.

Options, the leading private financial cloud provider for the global capital markets industry, has today announced upgrades and expansions to its managed server hosting and connectivity in Carteret, New Jersey. The announcement comes ahead of this month’s eSpeed migration to the main Nasdaq data center in Carteret, which follows the stock exchange’s July 2013 acquisition of the U.S. Treasuries-trading platform. The migration will see eSpeed move from the market’s current location in Rochelle Park, New Jersey and is planned for April 7th.
