The EU’s Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) II is set to be top of the trading technology agenda for 2016. It’s impact will be more granular, prescriptive and onerous than the original MiFID regulation, raising business and technology challenges for those financial institutions affected, which need to be resolved within a tight deadline.
March 3, 2016 - 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Greater regulatory scrutiny and an unyieldingly competitive environment are forcing practitioners to pack more intelligence into the execution server. Today’s execution gateway needs to take into account pre-trade risk checks as well as liquidity searching algorithms and other data inputs that need to be processed while adding as little latency as possible.

April 21, 2016 - 3:00pm - 4:00pm
MiFID II is promising more rigorous application of the concept of best execution than its predecessor. With many firms opting for multi-venue trading strategies, the onus will be on truly smart Smart Order Routers that can deliver on the promise of best execution based on price, quality of execution, transaction costs and other factors.
June 16, 2016 - 3:00pm
While the heat may have come out of the ultra low-latency segment, latency is still important. Speed is a given, but what’s proving to be challenging is the ability to achieve consistency of latency, particularly where multiple trading venues are involved. What’s needed is a deterministic approach to handling low latency connectivity.
September 11, 2014 - 3:00pm

High speed, low latency trading connectivity is no longer enough to differentiate you from your competitors - so how do you add value to your trading systems?

This webinar will provide insight into Dell Processor Acceleration Technology - a free firmware download for the Dell PowerEdge R620, R720 and R720xd servers featuring the Intel E5-2690 processor - which can boost their performance by up to 30%. Market data and trading applications immediately run faster as a result, with no time consuming and potentially dangerous code changes. Dell experts will cover customer drivers that led to this offering, together with details of how it works, and how it meets your needs.

June 13, 2012 - 10:00am

This webinar will focus on synchronizing ultra precise time (i.e. sub microsecond) across distributed (Linux) applications deployed in high frequency and algorithmic trading. The challenges are twofold:  First, how to very precisely synchronize the time between computers in a trading system. The second, is how that time can be precisely synchronized with other computers around the planet.

March 14, 2012 - 10:00am - 10:00pm

It is often said that financial markets firms face the challenge of 'coping' with huge volumes of extremely high frequency data.  But what if those firms can transition from coping to leveraging - for new trading and investment opportunities?
